The latest makeup trends from the runway have women looking paired down and chic, always natural. Hair is long and healthy, and skin glows.

Marc Jacobs had his girls looking fresh and clean. This look is great for work, because you can add makeup to it if going out at night.

Carolina Herrera paired healthy skin and hair with uptown chic, and we love it. This look is also great to be converted for an evening out.

But who doesn’t want to up the sexy-factor, every so often? Even though Donatella Versace wanted her girls to exude sexyness, she kept it more natural. No heavy foundation here, or layers of hairspray. The eyes are striking and the pale lips don’t draw too much attention.

Michael Kors had healthy skin shining through, with a slight sun-kissed glow. The heavy tans or dark spray-ons are out - Kors welcomes a girl who is confident in her own natural, healthy beauty.

With New York, London, Milan, and Parisian fashion weeks all coming to a close, editors have come to expect a show of a show from certain deisgners. For these designers, a fashion show is not about showing off their new collection, but more of a peek into their secret boudoir where their wildest fantastic dreams become a reality.
One such designer is John Galliano. To give you an idea of how quirky, fun, and original he is, he ended his show last year by walking out wearing a woman’s space suit - a real space suit, complete with boots and helmut. Talk about taking it up a notch. This year, his two collections, John Galliano and Christian Dior, show us the three different facets of his fashion persona: artistic and over-the-top, Parisian elegance, and classic evening sophistication.

You might not ever go out on the town looking like this, but how much fun does this show look? The clothes are gorgeous and he brought everything - hair, make up, accessories to an extreme to bring out the theme of the collection, that is, the Parisian streetlife of a certain bygone era.

But here we see Galliano for Christian Dior toning his passion down a bit, if only to bring out a woman’s more subdued, yet sexy, side. She doesn’t even have to glance her eyes at you for you to notice her.

But for evening elegance, Galliano for Dior again, knows how ‘the society woman’ wants to make an entrance. She isn’t crass or loud, but elegant and sophisticated and quiet. She acts like royalty wearing his gowns.
